In today’s systems, for a standard pharmaceutical plastic pouch or IV bag, you may be able to find a 0.4-millimeter metal. With our high-resolution systems, you’re looking at the 0.1 to 0.2-millimeter range, which is much closer to how small a contaminant would actually be. Our machines have an astoundingly low false reject rate.

That can make a big difference – either from an actual foreign material standpoint, which you don’t want someone ingesting that into their body; or from a chemical interaction point, which you don’t want with any type of foreign material in the product.

This is a huge breakthrough.

The other thing that we’ll unveil soon is our new seal inspection system. When you have a product that looks good but leaks, you can find that leak without shipping it.
